What is MenuPro?

A menu design software program that lets you easily create and update your restaurant menus on your PC or laptop. It offers professional designs and instant layouts with point-and-click design customization, plus feature rich options to help you increase sales of high-profit menu items.

What size menus can I create?

Any size. Popular sizes are 8½ x 11, 8½ x 14 and 11 x 17 but you can create any custom or odd size from 4 to 32 inches. Even ½ or ¼ inch sizes like 6½ x 13¼ - whatever measurement you want, inches or metric, in portrait or landscape. And that's with every single menu style. They're all size independent.

Do you charge recurring monthly or yearly fees?

No. MenuPro is not a service - it's a software program that you own. There are no recurring charges, no setup fees, and no additional fees for customization. Over time our one-time flat fee is the most affordable solution available with most customers recouping the cost of the software after printing their menus just one time.

Do I have to be connected to the internet to use it?

No. MenuPro runs on your PC desktop so it's fast and quick. Since it's not internet dependent you can make last-minute menu substitutions and price changes whenever you want - even in those inevitable times when you're without internet connectivity.

Can I use my own fonts?

Yes. Our menu styles come with pre-selected fonts, but you can change them to any font on your PC. Many restaurateurs want to brand their menus with their own specific fonts and MenuPro lets them do that.

Can I add my own food photos or restaurant logos?

Yes. You can add any number of your own images to any menu. Or you can choose from over 1500 images that come with MenuPro.

Can I change the menu background and graphics?

Yes. MenuPro does not constrain you to using the preset graphics or fonts of a template. Any background, border, or font can be changed at any time. Plus, you can add graphical elements like boxes, underlines, top-lines, food icons and more to any menu using any color. It’s simple, but the possibilities are endless.

Can I print daily specials with MenuPro?

Yes. MenuPro excels at printing specials because it keeps all of your foods in a list. When you're ready to create your specials menu, simply drag and drop from the list - MenuPro does the formatting automatically.

Can I put my menus on my Website or Facebook?

Yes. MenuPro comes with a PDF/JPG creator and web uploader that lets you publish your menus to your website in seconds. We also offer a free Menu App for Facebook to ensure your Facebook page sports the same branded and custom menu that you use in-house rather than a cookie-cutter template.

How many pages can my menu be?

Any number. Our menu styles easily adapt to multi-page menus with text that can flow from one page to the next. Plus, any menu style works with columns. Or you can have just certain key sections in columns. It's up to you and it works with every single menu style.

How many menu designs does it come with?

Over 175 Menu Styles – sort of like templates but faster and without the constraints they impose. With Menu Styles you won't have to remove menu item descriptions or re-write vital menu copy if your menu has 10 appetizers but your template only has room for five. Each of our Menu Styles can be fully customized with font changes, colors, background, border, layout, multi-columns, and more. And all are interchangeable so you can change menu designs with one click without having to re-type your menu.

Are there limitations on how many items I can fit to a page?

No. Since MenuPro doesn't lock you into a template the sky's the limit. You can adjust all font sizes on your menu or get proportional menu page spacing (all items spaced at once) with a single click. Plus MenuPro comes with an auto-magic FIT button if you want fonts and spacing adjusted at once.

What kind of printer do I need?

Any ink jet or laser printer. The better the printer, the better your menus will look. For large print runs you can create a PDF menu to give to your local printer. Printing in-house or staying local will reduce the time it takes to get your menus printed – allow you to print them 'same-day' – and reduces expenses as you won't incur needless shipping charges.

Do I need a word-processor or other software?

No. MenuPro was engineered from the ground up to free you from the drudgery and complexities of Word, Publisher, or any other type of editor.

What kind of paper do I need?

Any type. Many of our customers slide their printed paper menus into protective cafe style menu covers with clear panels, so a slightly thicker paper for these types of covers makes it easier to insert the menu. Others use classic leather menu covers with album-style corners that hold the paper in place. For these, parchment paper is all you need for an elegant presentation.

Can I create carry out and take out menus?

Yes. Any MenuPro menu style can be changed into 2 to 7 columns - perfect for carry out menus or to-go flyers, or 'days of the week' menus.

Can I create menus for other restaurants?

Yes. There are no limits to the number of menus you can create.

What are the Ai Menu products?

Artisan Images and additional graphic art that can be added to MenuPro menus. MenuPro comes with a built-in graphics collection - the Ai packages expand that collection.

What's the difference between Ai Menu Graphics and Ai Menu Vignettes?

Ai Menu Graphics are more stylized and were created digitally. Ai Menu Vignettes are more earthy and natural and were hand-drawn using pen & ink. Having both gives you the most flexibility when choosing artwork for your menus.

Can I use MenuPro at work and on my laptop?

Yes, MenuPro comes with a 2-PC license that lets you install and use MenuPro on 2 PC's. If you want to add additional users to your license you can do that too at a reduced cost.

Can I install MenuPro on a network?

Yes. But it cannot be used simultaneously by more than one user.

Do you offer support after receiving my software?

Yes. Free support is available from SoftCafe for all current versions of our software.

What are the system requirements for MenuPro?

Windows 8, 7, Vista, and XP, Windows 2000 or 2003 Server. 500 MB available hard disk space, and 1 GB RAM. An internet connection, while not required, is recommended during the first run for easy one-time activation. (MenuPro is a Windows desktop app and, therefore, will not run on Windows RT.)

Will your menu software work on a Mac?

Yes. With the introduction of Apple's BootCamp, you can now run Windows programs, including MenuPro, on a Mac. See Apple's site for more details.
