A 1985 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), James Switton has been cooking professionally for over 18 years. He began his career while in high school as a bus boy and prep cook in his hometown of Silver Spring, MD. Upon graduating from high school, Jim entered the CIA and graduated with honors three years later. He conducted his CIA internship at Clyde's in Chevy Chase, MD and started as a full time employee 7 months later. Within three years, Jim was promoted to Executive Sous

He has been executive chef at The Olive Branch since 2006 and also a consultant to the White House Executive Chef since 2007.
